Mrs. Charlene Turner
Apart from raising children with disabilities herself, Charlene Turner has several years of experience as a substitute teacher in life skills classes in a local independent school district. She also worked as a high school teacher in journalism. She holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and a teaching credential.
Ms. Brenda works wonders with our students. She holds a B.A. in Psychology, which helps her understand what each student needs. Our elementary students excel in her classroom.
Mrs. Laura has extensive experience in the special education department of a local independent school district. She takes a keen interest in our middle school students who improve as a result.
Mrs. Robin is very creative and designs fun projects to do with the students. Our little gardens in front of the building showcase that. She holds a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and a B.Sc. in Elementary Education. She is also TEA certified in Elementary Self-Contained (PK-6) and Elementary Early Childhood Education (PK-6).
Mrs. Brown has extensive experience as an assistant in the special education department of a local independent school district. She works very well with students who need a little more behavioral support.
Ms. Aislynn has volunteered in Special Olympics for many years. She trains students in our After School Program and helps out in the Day school.
Ms. Ale'ycia works in our After School Program as a trainer. She knows what perseverance is, since she was a finalist in the Junior Olympics.
Mrs. Tran has many years of experience in special education. She trains individual students and takes care of transportation. She holds a bachelors degree and teacher credential.
Our students love Mrs. "C" as they call her. She works with our After School students.
Mrs. Diana Floris
Diana Floris has children with disabilities as well. She volunteered for many years in a school for special education. She holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and in Mathematics with a minor in education. She is TEA certified in Math and has a license in Interactive Metronome. An M.Ed. in Special Education is expected in August 2016.
